Canterbury

Had the pleasure to visit Canterbury on Bank Holiday Monday past and even greater pleasure to meet up with long time School Buddy Adele!! Needless to say, she’s as nice as ever & had a great time catching up in the old days!!

Canterbury itself is a lovely quaint little place & reminded me of York with it’s narrow streets & architecture. Not to mention the Wall & Castle!!

Along with the good came the bad as the journey there from Hove via the coast road was far from ideal… Obviously NI ‘A’ roads are alot better than their English equivalent & the term "overtake" doesn’t exist in their Highway Code!!

Add to that the thousands of bikers in Hastings (yup the one where William the Conqueror put out Harold’s eye) who managed to make a tiny sea-side town into a 45 minute crawl… Thanks to the Hell’s Angels!!

Still, was nice to see another part of the UK!! Next trip is Cork (of all places!!)

About Mcfaggen

Having grown up in Co. Fermanagh where most of my family still reside, I thought it would be worthwhile to keep a blog of my travels around the rest of the UK, Europe and the World.
