Well my old man will be proud. His youngest son at the home of the Premiership Champions (notice I didn’t say European Champions, DWR!!)
Anyways, I had a conference in Stamford Bridge on Friday as part of the Management Trainee Programme, and it was a fairly pleasant surroundings for the event. It was very quiet on the Trains into London & when we decided to get a Taxi, we realised that most of London was doing the same thing as we didn’t see a single hireable taxi on the street. Anyways, we eventually decided to get the Tube & on our entire platform there were 4 people. It was surreal…
Anyways, when we were travelling home, we found our platform & sat in a carriage… first class admittedly, despite our tickets being normal standard. Anyways, after a while of sitting in the carriage & it being terribly quiet, we realised that the train was late… so we climbed out of the carriage to discover that the train had left & not taken our carriage with it!!
So we had to climb another train… but sure, it was funny!!
Also this week, the Ashes have started & England are doing their best to not compete… they’ve got to make it to 1800 tomorrow but only have 3 wickets left. Hopefully the rain will take its toll & the game will be rained out.
And finally, you’ll notice a few new links & bits & bobs on mySpace. I’ve added Christine’s Blog (might not be open access to all) – Christine used to work with me in PG, back in the good old days. I’ve also added a review of Brian Lara’s International Cricket 05, which we’re submersing ourselves in here at the moment. Chat soon.
