St Valentines… ah well, but at least there is football!!

Well another festival of misery passes… and yet a glimmer of joy (as always, spread by the beautiful game). Today saw the fixtures for Northern Ireland’s Euro 08 Qualifying group announced. So my holiday plans for the next two years have been sorted.
Anyways, the full fixture list looks like this:
Northern Ireland v Iceland (2 September 2006)
Northern Ireland v Spain (6 September)
Denmark v Northern Ireland (7 October)
Northern Ireland v Latvia (11 October)
Liechtenstein v Northern Ireland (24 March 2007)
Northern Ireland v Sweden (28 March)
Northern Ireland v Liechtenstein (22 August)
Latvia v Northern Ireland (8 September)
Iceland v Northern Ireland (12 September)
Sweden v Northern Ireland (17 October)
Northern Ireland v Denmark (17 November)
Spain v Northern Ireland (21 November)
So plenty to look forward to… a wee trip to Copenhagen this Autumn for starters. Obviously Liechtenstein, Latvia, Iceland & Sweden are the ones I’m looking forward to most, as I’ve already been to Copenhagen & Spain for football. The double header with Latvia & Iceland away should be good fun as well with public access bobsleight & gun clubs in Riga!!
Aside from this, a minor distraction at the moment of deciding where I want to spend the next six months living. At the moment, I’ve investigated Glasgow & Gillingham, with London to be looked into tomorrow. I’m torn at the moment, as I wouldn’t mind living in Glasgow, but I reckon Gillingham would be the better work challenge. So any help in making the decision would be much appreciated!!
Anyways, back to ryanair.com…

About Mcfaggen

Having grown up in Co. Fermanagh where most of my family still reside, I thought it would be worthwhile to keep a blog of my travels around the rest of the UK, Europe and the World.
