Gone South

Well, I’ve made Melbourne, Victoria.
The journey in was immense… after staying in a purpose built Hostel in the rear end of no where in particular… we travelled the Great Ocean Road & spotted many wonders of the world including the 12 Apostles. As if that wasn’t awe inspiring, doing a Helicopter ride over the top of them peaked the whole event!! Cracking!! Anyways, after that we headed for Torquay & spotted the home of Ripcurl & Quiksilver for a spot of shopping.
And so into Melbourne, after learning a new bus game called Nods from a number of Barmy Army lads. Priceless… rules to be explained later. Melbourne is a funny city, it’s got character for sure, but it badly needs a clean. It’s got run down buildings, grafitti, rubbish, and generally needs a make over. It has wonderful old style european buildings, but in bad repair.
Anyways, I’m meeting up with family today for a couple of nights for Christmas – feels a bit wierd to be saying christmas in 20 plus degrees – but at last a final Merry Christmas to you all. Take care & remember the real meaning.

About Mcfaggen

Having grown up in Co. Fermanagh where most of my family still reside, I thought it would be worthwhile to keep a blog of my travels around the rest of the UK, Europe and the World.
