Well there you go then…

… The Doc and The Gunman are in charge of my wee country. It was very wierd watching it on TV today… all sorts of emotions were walked through. From digust, to hope, from impatience to patience. And they played Brian Kennedy?! For goodness sakes… it’s supposed to be a happy day & they play that melancholy misery-sod.
Anyways, that was bit of an aside… but just to think a bit more about what it means. A bit more money thrown at the province, perhaps pushing the jobs scene up (might even begin to mirror the house scene) which will encourage the dispora to consider moving home. I didn’t leave home due to the troubles, or any great loathing for the place… quite the opposite. I love my country, it’s got things to it that no other place will ever be able to boast. I watched today & thought more, than perhaps for a long time, and more about going home. All these politicians want to do their bit to build NI plc. I want to do my bit.
Forza Norn Iron.

About Mcfaggen

Having grown up in Co. Fermanagh where most of my family still reside, I thought it would be worthwhile to keep a blog of my travels around the rest of the UK, Europe and the World.
